I have known Hunter for many years skydiving, surfing and doing photo work together in Hawaii…He is a very, very talented Jumper with some mad air awareness skills and puts out insane images making him a perfect NARGEAR candidate…so, last fall we asked him to join the team…I asked him for a short bio and here is what he told us…
“As for bio. fuck. uh.
It all started with a bed. Well, doesn’t it always? OK. More specifically jumping off of my bed at 5 yrs old and flapping my arms fast enough that I could swear in my overly imaginative brain that I was actually keeping myself aloft for just a split second. I gradually moved on to jumping from playgrounds, decks, second story windows, roofs, you name it. When my mother would ask why I was limping I would just say that I fell.
Eventually on my 18th birthday I discovered parachutes and the world was never the same for me again. It has been a love affair with the sky ever since that very first jump.
For me, flying and photography have become one and the same. I live to photograph amazing human beings doing things that most people could not even imagine. In my photography I strive to create works of art that give the viewer a sense of the beauty, tranquility, and adrenaline that is pure human flight. Whether I am falling from airplanes at 200mph, wingsuiting off of 3000′ cliffs in Norway, or enjoying a sunset from underneath a paraglider, I am always on the hunt for the that magic moment to capture and share with you.”
